Who can claim to actually be a writer? What’s a writer anyway? Each one of us has his own definition.

To me, a writer is someone who moves people through his writing, brings them value but above all makes them forget – for a moment – the world around them.

For your high school friend Dan, a writer is someone who writes.

Your aunt Lisa sees writers as lunatics although your uncle Paul just finished writing his fifth book.

Your niece Rachel thinks that a writer is someone who has published at least one novel in a famous publishing company.

There is no right or wrong answer and, to be honest, no one really cares. If you write just so you can call yourself a writer, you’ve already lost.
