My First Attempt at a Writing Prompt

Spread the love

Some writers find writing prompts to be helpful, either as a starting point to kick off their next story, or a tool to break through a case of writers block. I’ve never attempted to provide a writing prompt before, but here goes.

First of all, go to this website Click Here.  Then do one or more of the following:

  1. Take the first photo that shows up, give them a name and write a few paragraphs describing them; not their appearance but their behaviour and attitudes.
  2. Refresh the page a few times until a photo shows up that speaks to you, then use number one for that person.
  3. Refresh the page several times and choose two photos, give them names, decide on their relationship, (friends, family, lovers, opponents, enemies) and write a dramatic scene in which the two interact with each other.
  4. Choose a photo and write a scene where that person is dying. Include what they’re thinking and/or saying to others who are with them.
  5. Choose a photo and write a scene where that person is in a car accident. How do they react?

If you like the idea of finding writing prompts on this blog leave a comment below and I may include more in the future.
