» Thrice Fiction: Seeking Submissions Until April 30

Spread the love

The brainchild of RW Spryszak, a player in the alternative zine scene of the 80’s and 90’s, Thrice Fiction is a modern resurrection of the literary sub-culture out of which altzines were born. In addition to invoking the spirit of the merry pranksters of yore, Thrice Fiction hopes to give that spirit a new body by exploring of-the-moment forms we don’t yet understand. Along with more mainstream narratives, they publish fiction that crosses boundaries we haven’t even perceived.

Since 2011, Thrice Fiction has been published three times a year in print and online: in April, August, and December.  Right now, they’re accepting submissions from April 1 through April 30 for their August issue. They will also accept submissions from August 1 through August 31 for their December edition, and from December 1 through December 31 for their April 2019 publication.

Authors of fiction may submit stories up to 4,000 words. They accept flash fiction, up to 1,000 words, as well as fiction that might be considered poetry. They don’t care about cover letters or bios—the story should be strong enough to tell its own tale.
